A Dahlonega man has been charged with DUI following a single-vehicle crash Friday night on Ga. 60/Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville that injured all four people involved, one of them seriously.

Taylor Palmer, a passenger in the vehicle, remains hospitalized in critical condition. Two children, ages 5 months and 15 months, were treated for injuries and released, according to Gainesville Police Spokesman Sgt. Kevin Holbrook.

The driver, Johnathan Taylor of Dahlonega, was treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and released, then arrested and booked into the Hall County Jail. He faces numerous charges, among them DUI, two cases of DUI child endangerment, reckless driving, driving on a suspended or revoked license, expired tag, serious injury by motor vehicle and other traffic violations.

The accident resulted in the vehicle rolling over several times, ejecting some of the occupants. The road was closed until midnight. Crash investigators will return to the scene on Monday to conduct a follow up investigation that could lead to intermittent closures.
