Rabies case confirmed in North Hall County

A raccoon caputured in North Hall County has tested positive for rabies, making eight Hall County cases for 2015.

The raccoon came in contact with a dog in the Price Road area in the northern part of the county. The animal tested positive for rabies at the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur.

Anyone noticing an animal acting abnormally is asked to call Hall County Animal Services at 770-531-6830 or Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812 during nonworking hours.
