Qualifying ends today for two open seats on the Flowery Branch City Council. Elizabeth Monica Beatty of the Waterstone Crossing subdivision qualified for the Post 5 seat Wednesday morning. Those interested in running for election have until 4:30 p.m. to qualify at Flowery Branch City Hall, 5517 Main St. The special election to fill Post 1, held by Damon Gibbs, and Post 5, held by Tara Richards, will be on June 16.
