Update: Officials say the road has reopened.

A wreck at Interstate 985 southbound near mile marker 19 has shut down the left southbound lane while authorities work the wreck, according to authorities.

Gainesville Fire spokesman Keith Smith said the wreck involved a passenger car and a tractor-trailer.

“There were three non-life threatening injuries and they have been transported to (Northeast Georgia Medical Center) for evaluation,” Smith wrote in an email.

The doors had to be forced upon, Smith said.

Georgia State Patrol will be working the wreck.
