Chateau Elan Winery and Resort in Braselton

A public hearing on a proposal for 115 townhomes and 16 detached homes on nearly 50 acres at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton is now set for July 3.

The meeting will take place before the Braselton mayor and Town Council at 4 p.m. at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53.

The project, sought by Chateau Elan Resorts LLC, had been scheduled on June 6.

A map with the application shows 44 of the townhomes splitting the resort’s vineyards off Golf Club Drive, which juts off Tour de France Drive and leads to the Hampton Inn & Suites Braselton.

The rest of the townhomes and the detached houses would be built off Pinot Noir Drive, where a golf course is now located, another map shows.
