Legislators will discuss these topics at annual Eggs & Issues event before 2020 session

The annual Eggs & Issues breakfast is held Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, in the new Lanier Technical College conference center.

Local residents and business leaders can hear from state legislators and get a look ahead at the 2020 legislative session at the annual Eggs & Issues event Dec. 12.

The event, hosted by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, will feature all of Hall County’s delegation in the Georgia General Assembly:

  • State Sen. Butch Miller, 49th District

  • State Sen. John Wilkinson, 50th District

  • State Rep. Lee Hawkins, 27th District

  • State Rep. Matt Dubnik, 29th District

  • State Rep. Emory Dunahoo Jr., 30th District                      

  • State Rep. Timothy Barr, 103rd District

Some issues to be discussed include transportation, jobs, workforce development, education, health care, water and taxes.

"The issues that have been identified prior to the legislative session have a direct impact on our community,” Kit Dunlap, president and CEO of the chamber, said in a statement. “We need to better understand the issues, as well as have an understanding of our legislators’ positions on these important issues.” 

The 2020 legislative session for the Georgia General Assembly will begin Jan. 13.

Eggs & Issues is open to the public and includes a buffet breakfast. Admission is $40 for chamber members, $50 for nonmembers and $400 for a reserved table of eight.
