Gainesville police officers are searching for a man they believe is responsible for the armed robbery of a West Ridge Road convenience store.
Early reports indicate the man, described as a black male with dreadlocks, robbed the Shell Station near Interstate 985 Exit 22 before fleeing into the woods behind the nearby QuikTrip gas station.
Gainesville Police Department spokesman Kevin Holbrook said the department has officers in the area and a K-9 unit at the scene attempting to locate the man.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at the same gas station that was robbed two weeks ago on Aug. 13.
