Car-parts maker ZF closed Friday, April 26, following a fire that started in a mechanical room, according to authorities.

Hall County firefighters responded shortly after 10 a.m. Friday to Rafe Court off McEver Road in South Hall to a report of a commercial fire.

Capt. Zachary Brackett said the business’ fire suppression systems contained the incident before firefighters arrived.

“Arriving units found a large commercial structure with a fire in a mechanical room. The fire was extinguished quickly and crews are now checking for extension,” Brackett wrote in an email around 10:35 a.m.

No one was reported injured.

“The business was evacuated at the time of the fire and will (be) closed for the rest of the day due to water removal,” Brackett wrote in an email.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
