Coleman, Chambers & Rogers LLP recently handed out two scholarships to graduating high school seniors.

This year the fourth Coleman, Chambers & Rogers Scholarship, available to children and grandchildren of active members of the Hall County Board of Realtors, was awarded to Sadie Abernathy, daughter of Brad and Jill Abernathy of Gainesville.

The Coleman, Chambers & Rogers First Responders Scholarship is a new scholarship that was endowed and created this year. The funding for this scholarship came from the fees earned in a case where the firm represented a family who lost their son in an automobile accident. In order to bring awareness to the role that law enforcement and first responders make every day, the scholarship was created for current first responders in Gainesville-Hall County and/or their children and grandchildren to apply for. The first recipient, Grace Fawcett, is the daughter of Chris and Deanna Fawcett of Gainesville. Chris is an employee of the Hall County Fire Services.

The scholarship funds are administered by the North Georgia Community Foundation. For information on the scholarships, which will open for applications again in January 2019, visit or call 770-535-7880.

Coleman, Chambers & Rogers LLP is a full-service Gainesville law firm that handles wrongful death, personal injury claims, family law and real estate matters.
