One driver was flown to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition after a wreck Friday morning on the Unicoi Turnpike in White County, according to authorities.
Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Major Patterson said Forest Bradley, 24, of Sautee, was driving a Lincoln Towncar around 9:30 a.m. Friday eastbound on Ga. 17/Unicoi Turnpike near Wright Road.
Patterson said Bradley lost control of the car, crossing into the other lane of traffic.
Sherry Fry, 54, of Mount Airy, was driving westbound in a Toyota RAV4.
“(Bradley’s car) began to rotate counter-clockwise and was struck in the left side by the front of (Fry’s car),” Patterson wrote in an email.
Bradley was flown in critical condition to Gainesville’s Northeast Georgia Medical Center, while the passenger, Savannah Roper, 25, of Murrayville, was taken by White County EMS to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Fry had minor injuries, but she was not transported to a hospital.
No charges have been filed at this time.
