One dead in single-vehicle wreck in East Hall
Hall County firefighters cut away branches Wednesday after a truck left the road in the 2700 block of Candler Highway and plowed into the trees, killing the driver.

One person died Wednesday in a one-vehicle wreck on Ga. 60/Candler Road near Roy Parks Road in East Hall County.

The driver, whose name was not available, was going north on Ga. 60 when the vehicle, a pickup truck, crossed the center line and ran off the west shoulder, striking a tree with its front bumper, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The driver died on the scene, GSP said.

The agency said it was waiting on next of kin to be notified before releasing the driver’s name.

The wreck took place near Candler Concrete Products, 2748 Candler Road, south of Roy Parks.
