No one was injured in a house fire Thursday evening in Sterling on the Lake in South Hall County, Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.

Hall County firefighters responded to a blaze just before 6 p.m. in the 7500 block of Brookstone Circle. They found a three-story, 3,500-square-foot house about 40 percent involved in flames, Kimbrell said.

The homeowner was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and refused transport to the hospital.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire. Damage was estimated at $190,000 to the approximately $400,000 home.

Hall County fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
