Ninth District Opportunity Inc. is accepting applications for home weatherization.

The services would help low-income residents reduce energy costs and are available to those in Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin and Rabun counties.

Weatherization includes installing weather stripping, water heater blankets, low-flow faucets and other minor household repairs. The work can be done for homeowners or renters with landlord approval.

To apply, contact Ninth District Opportunity Inc. Weatherization Program at 770-535-2458 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Funding is available through an award of expansion funding from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority.
