Assistance with home heating bills is available starting Nov. 1 for low-income households with all residents 65 or older or residents homebound due to health reasons. The Georgia Department of Human Services helps pay those costs for either gas or electric heating. A one-time payment is issued to the supplier on behalf of the eligible household.
