Hall County Planning Director Srikanth Yamala has been named to the Leadership Georgia class of 2018.
Leadership Georgia is a 47-year old organization of emerging and diverse leaders from all walks of life throughout the state. The 5,000-plus alumni include a number of influential state and national leaders. With a principal focus on “Rooted, Growing and Leading,” the 2018 class will visit five Georgia communities in a yearlong exchange of ideas and experiences about important issues affecting the state.
Yamala was hired as director of planning for Hall County government in July 2012. He oversees daily activities and long-range initiatives of planning and zoning, building inspections, business license, geographic information systems and the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization.
He previously served as Hall County’s senior transportation planner for three years and then transportation planning manager for four years.
