A resident escaped a mobile home fire without injury Sunday, Hall County Fire Services reported.

Firefighters answered a 911 call to the 2400 block of Leland Road and found a doublewide mobile home about 50 percent involved in fire, Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said in a news release.

The home's lone occupant said he was awakened by a smoke alarm and found smoke coming from a back bedroom. He got out safely and called 911.

The fire is currently under investigation at this time and appears accidental in nature, Cagle said.
