Police have identified the victim in a Gainesville mobile home park stabbing Aug. 30.

Castulo Zepeta, 42, of Gainesville, was found at the Marlow Drive Mobile Home Park around 6 p.m. that day, following a report of a person “covered in blood carrying a machete,” according to a Hall County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Zepeta was bleeding heavily but conscious and alert when he was transferred to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment, Hall County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chad Mann said at the time of the incident.

“He is home and will have a full recovery,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email.

Zepeta is a resident of the mobile home park, located at 1350 Marlow Drive.

Bailes said the sheriff’s office is still searching for the suspect in the stabbing.
