A woman who wandered away from her East Hall home was found safely Tuesday afternoon, about an hour after sheriff’s and fire officials launched a large-scale search.

About 20 deputies and 12 firefighters searched the neighborhood surrounding Bronco Way, where the 62-year-old woman lives. The woman, who officials said suffered from several unspecified illnesses, was reported missing about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.

A sheriff’s deputy found the woman safe and unharmed at about 2 p.m., about four blocks from her home. She did not require medical attention and was returned to her family.
