Out of all the hospitals in Georgia, Northeast Georgia Medical Center was selected as one of 80 recipients of a top-quality award from the Georgia Hospital Association.
Each year, the association’s Partnership for Health and Accountability hands out honor roll awards to the hospitals that provide the “right care every time.”
“This honor is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our staff who are constantly working to make excellent care even better,” said Jim Gardner, medical center CEO. “It is our continuous goal to ensure that each of our patients receives the right care at the right time and this recognition validates that.”
The medical center received presidential honors, meaning staff provide proper care at the proper time between 93 percent and 97.9 percent of the time. The hospital was one of 51 to receive the award. The Atlanta Medical Center, Gwinnett Medical Center and Athens Regional Medical Center also received the presidential award.
