Medicaid change could limit access to doctors

With a Medicaid fee boost set to expire at the end of the year, health care professionals in Gainesville fear the effects will be seen the most with children. As part of the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid fees were increased to match Medicare for 2013 and 2014. If nothing is put into effect before the expiration on Jan. 1, one of the groups hit hardest will be children.
