A Gainesville man accused of murder was formally indicted by a Hall County jury on Tuesday. Joseph Scott Williams, 32, of Gainesville was charged with murder for the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Adiren Lamont Thompson of Gainesville. Police allege Williams shot Thompson multiple times in the parking lot outside the Peppers Market off E.E. Butler Parkway on June 3 in Gainesville.
