A Gainesville man is accused of trying to buy a date rape drug through Craigslist as part of a sexual assault scheme targeting his wife. Hall County authorities allege Timothy Wayne Garrett, 50, used the classified advertisements website to try to find someone who would sell him gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid, a central nervous system depressant, so he could drug his wife, then join the stranger or strangers in sexually assaulting her, said Lt. Scott Ware of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad. Garrett was arrested Friday on Shallowford Road.
