An 18-year-old man is accused of taking part in an armed robbery at a Gainesville gas station last month, police said.

Quillan Leshun Samuels was charged with armed robbery. He was booked Tuesday in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

Gainesville Police said Samuels was charged in connection to an April 22 armed robbery at the Shallowford Road Murphy Express.

Police said at the time of the incident two men entered the store, presented “a firearm and took currency from two different registers.”

Cpl. Drew Reed said the two suspects took alcohol, cigarettes and a cellphone from the clerk.

Police did not comment further on the incident, as the case is still under investigation.
