A North Hall man is accused of firing a shotgun toward another man after an argument Saturday, Jan. 19 on Gillespie Road, according to authorities.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said a 26-year-old man and Sidney Lee Davis, 53, had an argument “leading to Davis shooting at the victim with a shotgun.”

Ware said the two were acquainted but did not elaborate on their relationship. The lieutenant added that Davis lived at the residence.

Though the man was hit with several pellets, Ware said the wounds were “superficial.”

The victim was treated and released Saturday.

Davis was charged with aggravated assault and booked Jan. 19 in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

No bond has been set at this time. Magistrate Court officials said Davis requested a public defender, but one had not been assigned Tuesday, Jan. 22.

The case is still under investigation.
