McDonald’s appears headed to Spout Springs Road near Interstate 985 in Flowery Branch.

A sign at the corner of Spout Springs and Hog Mountain roads says the restaurant is “coming soon” to property where a Rite Aid pharmacy once stood. 

The sign, put up by The Morgan Properties, a development company out of Charlotte, N.C., also says “.60-acre pad site available.”

The Morgan Properties’ website confirms the McDonald’s at 5915 Spout Springs Road. Trey Morgan, listed as the property contact, couldn’t be reached for immediate comment.

Asked if he had information concerning the development, Rich Atkinson, Flowery Branch’s city planner, said, “Nothing official — just some preliminary discussions.”

The Rite Aid closed in 2018 as part of a merger with Walgreens.
