Lightning is presumed to be the cause of an attic fire at a home Sunday, June 3, in the 2900 block of Thompson Mill Road in North Hall.

The fire was put out quickly at the 2,600-square-foot home and “crews are now extinguishing hot spots,” Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett said.

“This fire occurred directly after a thunderstorm moved through the area with heavy lightning,” he added.

No injuries have been reported.
