Though we may be reluctant to bid summer farewell, visitors to Saturday’s Laurel Summer Fest did so in style. The event at Gainesville’s Laurel Park included a 5K Hawgzilla 5K Mud Run, Hawgin’ on Lanier barbecue cookoff, plus live music from local performers and fireworks in the evening. There was plenty to do both for kids, including games and inflatables, and grown-ups, like a beer and wine garden.
