A Lumpkin County man made his request for a “large meat pizza” for his last meal before he is set to be executed Wednesday, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. Steven Frederick Spears is set for execution at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. Spears was convicted in 2007 of strangling ex-girlfriend Sherri Holland six years earlier.
