Jackson County graduate earns Army proficiency badge

Army Staff Sgt. Selena L. Adams has earned the German Troop Proficiency Badge.

She is serving as a special bandsman with the U.S. Army Field Band in Fort Meade, Md.

Adams is the daughter of Miles and Helen Adams of Nicholson, sister of Daniel-Isaac and Kelsey Brunson of Gainesville, and granddaughter of Shirley Gentry and Virgil Adams of Athens, and George and Ann Edmondson of Jefferson.

She is a 2002 graduate of Jackson County High School, Jefferson.
