Reading to babies to about age 3 is a key — maybe the key — to the child’s future, reading experts and pediatricians say. Northeast Georgia Medical Center took that to heart, and every mom and baby born at the hospital plus its sister facility in Braselton for the next three years will get a copy of the book, “Welcome to the World,” and education about its importance. The book was introduced at a reception Tuesday in the Pope Family Garden at the hospital.
