As part of Black History Month, Newtown Florist Club opened its doors Sunday to people interested in learning about the organization’s long history of environmental battles. Visitors could tour community gardens and see an exhibition of memorabilia from the civil rights movement. “We wanted to have this drop-in so people can see all the history we have here and the work we have done over 63 years,” said Faye Bush, executive director of the club.
