A Flowery Branch man was indicted last week by a Hall County grand jury on several counts of sexual exploitation of children.
Glenn Douglas Berry, 45, was charged by the Multi Agency Narcotics Squad with 368 counts of child pornography on Aug. 5 and was indicted Oct. 13 on 26 of those counts.
According to the indictment, Berry possessed computer files containing movies and photos of both boys and girls involved in sexually explicit conduct.
Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh declined to comment on the indictment and Berry’s attorney, Daniel Summer, said his defense team is in the process of researching the indictment.
“I’m familiar with the charges and we’re conducting our own independent investigation, and I need to, obviously, review the discovery to see what kind of evidence the state has, but at this point it’s really premature,” Summer said.
Berry is also accused of knowingly possessing images of men engaging in sexual activities with infants.
Also included in the indictment are counts related to images of a nude minor blindfolded and restrained on top of a table.
The grand jury also indicted Berry on one count each of manufacture of marijuana and felony possession of marijuana.
Investigators conducted a search warrant at his home in the 5100 block of Sable Court in August and seized numerous video tapes, CDs, DVDs and hard drives, Lt. Scott Ware of the narcotics squad said after Berry's arrest.
"Basically our investigative division had received information that this guy was on one of the sharing sites that shared images of child pornography, so they applied for and received a search warrant for his home," said Lt. Scott Ware of the narcotics squad.
During the search, investigators also found eight growing marijuana plants and processed marijuana with a street value of about $16,000.
Berry remains in the Hall County Jail without bond.
