The Gainesville and Hall County school boards have regularly scheduled work sessions planned for 5 tonight.

The Hall County Board of Education is slated to discuss a charter petition for Lanier Career Academy, security guard services and the district’s 1-cent sales tax program for school construction and improvements.

The board also is scheduled to hold a closed session to discuss personnel.

The meeting will take place in the large conference room at the school board offices at 711 Green St.
