The Hall County Courthouse annex will be move-in-ready by mid-April, a bit more than two months behind schedule.
On Tuesday, managers of the renovation project gave an update to a citizen review committee tied to special purpose local option sales tax funding, which paid for the $2.5 million renovation.
Hall County Assistant Administrator Marty Nix said inmate work crews will soon begin painting the interior of the annex, one of the last steps before the annex is ready for use.
The building now has new elevators, sprinkler systems and layout to accommodate juvenile and probate courts in the county. Its front entrance has been moved closer to the sidewalk to allow for the X-ray machines and other security features needed at the entrance of the building.
Nix and others working on the project had hoped to finish the building at 115 E. Spring St. by January.
