A Hall County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved this morning in a wreck that injured another driver.

Deputy Kirk Palmer was driving south on U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway when a Dodge Ram pulled into his path at River North Drive, south of Honeysuckle Lane, said Col. Jeff Strickland, sheriff's office spokesman.

The Ram overturned into a ditch. The driver, Miguel Arellano, 54, of Gainesville, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening, Strickland said.

The deputy was uninjured.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident, which happened about 7:30 a.m.
