Hall County Democrats holding leadership election Monday

Hall County Democrats will choose the next members of their leading committee on Monday, June 11.

County Democrats are invited to meet for the annual election at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Gainesville Civic Center, according to an announcement from the party. Registration to vote and run for a spot on the committee will be open for 10 minutes beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Seats are alloted along the lines of Hall County Board of Commissioners districts. There are two seats in District 1 (South Hall), 2 (West Hall around Lake Lanier) and 3 (North and East Hall). There’s one seat open in District 4, which covers Gainesville and the center of the county. Two at-large seats are also open.

Both voters and candidates must be registered and live in Hall County, and candidates in specific districts must live in and be registered to vote in those districts.
