The Hall County Board of Commissioners is set to vote Thursday to accept $57,400 from the DOT for slightly more than a half-acre at the Georgia State Patrol post off Cleveland Highway/U.S. 129 for construction of the new Longstreet Bridge crossing Lake Lanier. The bridge is set for replacement next summer, said Ken Rearden, Hall’s public utilities and public works director. The issue will have to go before the Gainesville and Hall County Development Authority, as bonds issued for the patrol post went through the authority.
