Ninth District Opportunity Inc., in cooperation with local volunteers, will once again distribute surplus food from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Hall County.

Distribution is set for 9 a.m. March 26 at the Army Reserve Center next to Target (enter through the second gate on the left) at 570 Shallowford Road, Gainesville. Food also will be handed out at Gainesville Action Ministries, No. 1 First Street (Chicopee Village), Gainesville.

Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Recipients may not receive food from both sites.

Hall County residents with a gross household income 130 percent below the federal poverty level are eligible.

Those picking up food for others must have a completed permission form, available at the local Ninth District Opportunity Inc. office, or a handwritten note including name, name of authorized person to pick up food, number of people living in household, complete street address, monthly household income amount, signature and date. Authorization forms may be found online at www.ndo.org.
