Georgia Mountains Regional Commission selects new officers

George Wangemann has served on the Gainesville City Council since 1987.
The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission council members selected new officers May 31 for two-year terms to begin July 1, 2019, and end on June 30, 2021. The chairman-elect is Dahlonega Mayor Sam Norton. Gainesville City Councilman George Wangemann will serve as vice chair.
