Gainesville woman hit, killed while lying on I-985 ramp

A Gainesville woman was lying in the left lane of an interstate off ramp when she was struck by a car and killed overnight.

At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, Shadondria Anyel Hunter, 30, was struck by the front bumper of a vehicle traveling in the left lane of the I-985 southbound off ramp at mile marker 17. Hunter was lying on the roadway under the Atlanta Highway northbound overpass “for an unknown reason,” according to the Georgia State Patrol.

No charges will be filed against Bibiana Flores Gonzalez, 37, of Morrow, who was driving the black Hyundai Sonata that hit Hunter. Gonzalez was not injured.
