A Gainesville woman is charged with pimping a 15-year-old girl in June, police said.
“The 15-year-old has come forth to us with the allegations,” Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said.
Tammy Lowann Baker, 48, was charged with pimping. She was booked into the Hall County Jail under a $1,300 bond.
Holbrook said the victim was acquainted with Baker before the alleged incident.
Tammy Baker “made arrangements for the 15-year-old and an adult male subject to meet for prostitution and/or sexual acts in exchange” for money, he said.
The alleged incident occurred in late June, but investigators are working to determine if any more incidents happened.
Holbrook said the case is open with possible additional charges.
“With these cases, it’s important for us to move as quickly as we can to take the predators off of the streets,” he said.
