Property tax bills for Gainesville residents will go in the mail Friday, city officials announced Thursday.
The city plans to mail 13,125 bills, which will account for $12.1 million of property tax revenue for city operations and another $26.1 million of revenue for the Gainesville school system. The $12.1 million of revenue not going to schools will fund general government, debt service and parks and recreation.
Payments for tax bills are due Dec. 1.
The tax office open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to answer questions. Also, customers can review previous years’ tax information online at www.gainesville.org by clicking payments and city taxes.
