A Gainesville man was found guilty Friday morning of assaulting a local Muslim leader and abducting a 1-year-old child. A jury found Marquis Bonds guilty of kidnapping, possession of marijuana, interference with government property, aggressive driving and two counts each of aggravated assault and theft by taking. The jury returned its verdict within 30 minutes of deliberation Friday.
