A Gainesville man died after a crash Tuesday on Ga. 60/Candler Road, according to authorities. John P. Smith, 37, died Tuesday after being transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. According to Georgia State Patrol, Smith was driving around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in a Jeep Cherokee northbound on Candler Road.
