A Gainesville man has been arrested and charged with methamphetamine trafficking after being found in possession of $12,900 worth of the drug, according to authorities.
Jose Guadalupe Aguilar, 21, was arrested on Monroe Drive on April 12. He had 129 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, digital scales, packaging materials and three smoking devices, according to a release from Lt. Don Scalia with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Aguilar has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a gun by a convicted felon and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Violence Prevention Act.
The Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad worked with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office warrants division on the case.
No further arrests are anticipated.
