The Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur confirmed Wednesday that a fox spotted in the Flat Creek Road area of South Hall County tested positive for rabies.

Residents should report abnormal animal activity to Gainesville-Hall Animal Control at 770-531-6830 or, during nonworking hours, to Hall County Dispatch at 770-536-8812.

County residents owning pets that are not current on rabies vaccinations should take their pets to a veterinarian office immediately for vaccinations.
