A Hall County resident escaped without injury from a fire Monday night at a mobile home on Ridgeway Drive, authorities said.

Firefighters responded about 8:10 p.m. to find a single-wide mobile home with smoke showing from the living room and quickly extinguished the fire, Hall County Fire Marshal Capt. Scott Cagle said.

The Gainesville Fire Department also provided automatic aid, he said.

The Red Cross was called to assist two adults with temporary housing.
