Four residents managed to safely escape a fire that destroyed their mobile home just outside Gainesville City limits Thursday night, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.

Kimbrell said the cause of the fire at 2107 Spring Road hasn't been determined and a fire investigator will be on the scene today.

The single-wide mobile home was fully engulfed in fire when firefighters arrived, Kimbrell said, and about 70 percent of the structure went up in flames.

Kimbrell said the local American Red Cross chapter was assisting the home's occupants in finding shelter.
