David Kimbrell, Hall County fire chief and emergency services director, will serve as chairman of the Lanier Technical College Board of Directors for 2009.

Kimbrell has served on the board since 2004 and has assisted the college in developing emergency response programs and training local emergency response teams.

The local board of directors reports directly to the state board that oversees the Technical College System of Georgia.
