Twenty-seven couples signed up for the Hall County Parks and Leisure Services’ first Father Daughter Valentine Dance at Mulberry Creek Community Center, said Steve Hutson, facility coordinator for the center.
The dance will become an annual event, Hutson said. “If we grow too much, we’ll have to move to the gym,” he said. “Which is a good thing.”
The $15 fee included food and a free photo portrait, Hutson said.
“A lot of stuff was donated or we did it ourselves to keep costs down.”
They are looking for future sponsors to help support the dance, he said, especially for food, the biggest expense.
